It differs from endemic, the latter being owing to locality; but it is obvious, that should a particular epidemic consitution of the air- epidemicity, ( F.) epidemicite- exist along with a favouring endemic condition, these combined influences may act in the causation of several of those serious and fatal complaints, which at times visit a district, and are never afterwards met with, or at least not until after the lapse of a considerable period.
