[ Latin] Situated in the middle, mesial; as M. line, M. plane, M. lithotomy( i. e., lithotomy performed in the middle line of the perineum). M. nerve, that branch of the brachial plexus which lies midway between the other branches and runs down the middle of the forearm. It is accompanied by the M. artery, a branch of the anterior interosseous. M. artery of the cord, the artery running down the anterior middle line of the spinal cord.
