The nervous plexuses, Implicatio'nes reticula'res seu Textus nervorum belong-some to the system of encephalic nerves-others to that of the great sympathetic; whilst some, as the pharyngeal, seem to be formed of the two sets. The plexuses represent complex networks, with more or less loose meshes, formed by the numerous and diversified anastomoses of the nervous filaments; from which proceed other branches, that are distributed to organs, or to other plexuses.
